Skillz is reuniting with Comic Relief US to raise money for the Red Nose Day campaign, Full Plate Project through mobile esports tournaments. Driven by Red Nose Day’s grantmaking efforts to support vulnerable children and families, the Full Plate Project was specifically created to help provide holiday meals and support long-term solutions of food insecurity. The upcoming event will run from Saturday, December 12 at 10am PT until Sunday, December 13 at 10pm PT.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact economic stability for families worldwide, an estimated 1 in 4 children (about 18 million) in the U.S. alone could face food insecurity this year. Proceeds from this weekend’s event will be donated to the Full Plate Project to provide urgent relief to children and families facing hunger during this unprecedented time.

In July 2020, Skillz and Comic Relief US first partnered to raise money for its Red Nose Day campaign. Together, the two organizations raised over $45,000 for children impacted by COVID-19 in tournaments across multiple Skillz-powered games. In a continuation of this partnership, Skillz and Comic Relief US are now launching mobile esports tournaments to deliver food, support, and hope for children who need it most during the pandemic.
