From Friday, June 19 at 10am PT through 10pm PT on Saturday June 20, “Gaming for Good” tournaments in Skillz mobile games will raise funds for the NAACP Empowerment Programs, supporting their mission to achieve equal rights for all people and the end of racial discrimination.
Labelled “G4G: Black Lives Matter,” Skillz tournaments benefiting NAACP will run in top mobile games including 21 Blitz, Big Run Solitaire, Blackout Bingo, Block Blitz, Bubble Cube 2, Bubble Shooter Arena, Bubble Shooter Tournaments, Cube Cube, Diamond Strike, Dominoes Gold, Jewel Blitz, Pro Pool – Ultimate 8 Ball, Solitaire Cube, Solitaire Tour, Spider Solitaire Cube, and Strike! In addition to raising money in the company’s mobile games, Skillz founder & CEO Andrew Paradise announced an employee matching program this month to support the NAACP and other organizations advancing racial justice. Skillz also committed to strengthen diverse hiring goals and be a better ally to underrepresented minorities.
“Skillz wants to be part of building a world that lives up to our ideals of fairness,” said Paradise. “We support the Black community and the Black Lives Matter protesters by standing in solidarity with our employees, players, and developers who are advocating for justice.”
Skillz is transforming the way modern charities and nonprofits engage with donors, enabling anyone with a mobile device to donate to great causes by playing games. Skillz regularly partners with nonprofit organizations including the American Cancer Society, World Wildlife Fund, Susan G. Komen, and the American Red Cross to mobilize its mobile gaming platform and 30 million registered players worldwide to raise funds for important causes.
